Since the barrel’s edges have been trimmed and the spherical head has been welded to it, won’t the ends of the barrel become thinner, resulting in insufficient strength as a result?
But during processing, the ends of the cylinder are ground and thinned out; they are still part of the cylinder, right? Please advise

The ball seal connected in this manner is not a complete semicircle; it is equivalent to a semicircle from which a portion has been removed.
