Ladies and gentlemen: \"The splicing joints of spherical tank supports must be fully welded through.\" “A butt joint with gaskets in close contact with the base metal along the entire length of the weld root can be used.” I’m not quite sure what this means by a butt joint with gaskets in close contact with the base metal along the entire length of the weld root; I would appreciate some clarification from everyone, thank you.
I still don’t understand. Projects like this are carried out strictly in accordance with the design drawings, and they are subject to inspection and control by the relevant **departments; it’s a very mature approach. I don’t understand why there are still problems.
My question is phrased incorrectly; to put it differently, at which specific location should the base metal gasket be placed in order to achieve better welding quality?
Shims are used, seemingly, for aligning and positioning the pillars to facilitate welding. Pillars that are too long are not conducive to transportation. The upper part of the pillar also needs to undergo heat treatment along with the equipment.
