The tank used for storing 105 acid is made of carbon steel and is insulated normally. There is a hole in the upper part of the tank’s body; its shape is relatively regular. It is suspected that this hole resulted from a defect in the body itself, with leakage occurring as a result, and that exposure to air gradually caused corrosion that led to the formation of this hole. However, it doesn’t seem to be the result of corrosion in terms of shape. Has anyone encountered such a situation?
