Pre-notification on the release of SW6-2024 V1.0 and the upgrade for existing SW6 users

GB/T150-2024 \"Pressure Vessels\" was released on July 24, 2024, and will come into force on February 1, 2025. To support the engineering applications related to this standard, the initial version of SW6-2024V1.0 has been developed and is currently under intensive testing; the final version is expected to be released in late October 2024. The main modifications and additions are as follows: 1. In accordance with GB/T 150.2-2024, the steel grades used for pressure vessels, along with their strength and physical property data, have been added or modified; data required for external pressure calculations have been added in accordance with GB/T 150.3-2024 ； 2. In accordance with Appendix B of GB/T 150.1-2024, the calculation method for safety relief devices has been modified ； 3. In accordance with the design methods for components subjected to internal and external pressures specified in GB/T 150.3-2024, the design methods for conical heads, elliptical heads, disc heads, and flat covers have been modified, with additional checks for the deflection of stiffening rings on cylinders under external pressure being added ； 4. In accordance with GB/T 150.3-2024, the hole reinforcement and flange design methods used in the software have been modified ； 5. In accordance with GB/T 150.3-2024, the design of vessels with non-circular cross-sections under external pressure has been added ； 6. In accordance with Appendix G of GB/T 150.3-2024, calculations for honeycomb short-jacketed vessels, semi-tube jacketed vessels, etc., have been added ； 7. Added vibration analysis of the heat exchange tubes in the heat exchanger ； 8. For the supporting forces acting on towers with intermediate supports, calculation results for different operating conditions were added to correct their impact on the stress calculations of the towers. To facilitate approval by the user’s organization, this preliminary notice is issued here. The official notice will be published after the National Day holiday in 2024 via the WeChat official account (by scanning the QR code on the notice or searching for the account name: TCED01). The upgraded details shall be subject to the official notice. Reference fees for upgrading from previous versions of SW6-2011 to SW6-2024 v1.0:

SW6-2011 V1.0 and earlier versions: 20,000 yuan per encryption block; 10,000 yuan per node (starting from 5 nodes)
