As the title suggests, spherical end caps are generally used for high-pressure vessels. However, it has been observed that some manufacturers use oval end caps with the same thickness as the cylinder body; these end caps have a diameter of 2000 and are designed to handle pressures of 10.5 MPa. Is this approach acceptable?
An oval head can be used. In fact, oval end caps are also common in high-pressure vessels due to their good pressure resistance and lower manufacturing costs. As long as the design and manufacturing comply with relevant safety standards and regulations, it is possible to meet the requirements for use under high-pressure conditions. .

If it hasn’t been done yet, you can ask the manufacturer to modify the design if you’re worried
