243 units manufactured by the Beijing Institute of Aerospace Propulsion have been successfully deployed in a project related to biodegradable materials in Xinjiang. Recently, 243 units produced by this institute, which is part of the Sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group, were put into use in the project undertaken by Xinjiang Shuguang Luhua Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a project aimed at producing 100,000 tons of BDO (1,4-butanediol) per year along with 120,000 tons of PBAT (polybutylene terephthalate), thereby contributing to the completion of this entire project. The project is located in the Shuangfeng Industrial Park in Tiemenguan City, Xinjiang. Once operational, it will contribute to the development of the region as an important chemical industry hub in southern Xinjiang. The main product of this project, PBAT, is an important biodegradable material that has been classified as a **strategic emerging industry**; it is also included in the list of industries encouraged for development in the western regions. This material can be widely used in various applications such as packaging, tableware, sanitary products, and plastic films for disposable items. Under certain conditions, it can undergo complete biological degradation, making it a valuable alternative to traditional non-biodegradable plastics with broad market prospects. The acetylene torches, oxygen preheaters, and natural gas preheaters provided by the Beijing Institute of Aerospace Propulsion, together with China’s independently developed process for converting natural gas into acetylene, constitute the key equipment that ensures safe and stable operation of this process ； The heat transfer oil furnace provides a stable and reliable heat source for the polymerization reaction, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the PBAT production facility and that the quality and performance of the final product meet the required standards ； The safety valves and the plant-wide flare system, as the most critical safety facilities of the plant, serve as the final line of defense for the entire installation. The successful operation of these products further enriches the market in the field of biodegradable resins where I work, contributing to the development of strategic emerging industries in Xinjiang.
