GB150 specifies the weld coefficient values for welds with gusset plates, but in design, the weld coefficient for longitudinal seams is generally considered, and longitudinal seams are basically not welded using gusset plates. Then, is the provision in GB150 regarding the weld coefficient for welds with gusset plates meaningful? Since they are all selected based on the longitudinal seam of the cylinder, and the longitudinal seam does not have a gasket design. For example, if the weld between the cylinder and the head is lined with a gasket while the longitudinal seam of the cylinder is not lined, what values should be used for the weld joint coefficients of the cylinder and the head respectively? What do you all think?
Never mind it; I haven’t thought of (come across) any situation where this coefficient needs to be applied for now.

For the shell side of the heat exchanger, it is necessary to check the axial force; at this point, the weld coefficient of the circumferential welds must be taken into account, as well as the last circumferential weld on the shell side...
