LANSI Heavy Equipment has completed the fabrication of the forging and welding hydrogenation reactor for the renovation project of Shanghai Petrochemical’s medium-pressure hydrogenation unit

The hydrogenation refining reactor manufactured by Lanxi Heavy Equipment for the renovation project of the 1.5 million tons per year medium-pressure hydrogenation unit in Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Shanghai Petrochemical”) has been completed and is ready for delivery to the customer. The forged-welded hydrogenation reactor combines the advantages of both forging and welding processes, enabling it to meet the requirements of large-scale, high-parameter hydrogenation operations. It is the preferred choice for core reactors in large and medium-sized hydrogenation plants both domestically and internationally, and it represents the optimal solution for replacing key equipment in Shanghai Petrochemical’s current hazard mitigation project. The core equipment of this project, the hydrofining reactor, is of forge-welded construction with a diameter of 4 meters; it represents the first time that Lansi Heavy Equipment has undertaken the fabrication of forge-welded hydrogenation reactors for Sinopec’s refining projects. During the manufacturing process, Lanshi Heavy Equipment paid close attention to customer requirements, exercising strict control over the entire workflow – from preliminary technical preparation and diagram translation and explanation, to production and testing – thereby successfully completing the manufacturing task and further strengthening the company’s capabilities in producing forged and welded hydrogenation reactors.
