Yangshi Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. announced on March 27 that China’s first 1500kN intelligent positioning winch system has been assembled in Tianjin and is now in the debugging phase. The intelligent positioning winch system that has been completed in this integration enables precise positioning, intelligent control, and dynamic monitoring during operations, thereby effectively enhancing safety and efficiency in complex working conditions. The rated pulling force of a single unit in this system reaches 1500 kN, with a design lifespan of 30 years; the core software and hardware are largely domestically produced. The winch system is a key piece of equipment for offshore engineering operations, primarily used for tasks such as mooring and securing vessels, towing, and salvage operations. It is an essential device in fields including marine scientific research, marine resource development, and offshore engineering activities. Traditional winch systems rely heavily on manual operation, which not only results in high labor intensity and low operational efficiency, but also poses operational risks due to delayed responses, poor adaptability to different working conditions, and insufficient monitoring capabilities. Facing challenges such as the difficulty in controlling large-tonnage winch systems under extreme marine conditions, heavy load impacts, and severe salt spray corrosion, the project team overcame various industry-related technical hurdles related to multi-device coordination and remote communication. Key components are made of high-strength, high-toughness special alloy steels, which enable operation under extreme conditions with high loads and thus significantly enhance the stability of the equipment. In recent years, CNOOC Engineering has focused on key areas in the research and development of high-end equipment for offshore oil and gas projects. It has developed advanced marine engineering equipment such as the \"Haiwei\" system for intelligent monitoring of deep-water pipeline laying, as well as China’s first 50,000-ton class tension jack-based loading system, providing essential equipment support for the development of offshore oil and gas resources in China.
