A strong weld must meet at least the following 3 requirements: 1. The weld shape shall be in accordance with Figure 6-19 (GB/T 151-2014). 2. The root gap height shall meet the requirements of 6.6.2.3 (GB/T 151-2014). 3. Welding procedure qualification shall be carried out in accordance with NB/T 47014.
The weld height H of the strength welded pipe joint, which is subject to axial shear loads on the heat exchange tubes as well as sealing requirements, should be greater than or equal to 1.4 times the wall thickness of the tube. Strength welding must be a welding process with filler wire.
