Ansteel Co., Ltd. begins large-scale production of wire rods for ENi3 specialty welding wires

Recently, Ansteel Corporation achieved large-scale mass production of wire rods for ENi3 specialty welding wires. The chemical composition, mechanical properties, and drawability of these products meet stringent standards, enabling them to enter the high-end welding materials market. This development has expanded Ansteel Group’s portfolio of high-end products and created new sources of revenue growth. Since the beginning of this year, Ansteel’s wire rod factory has focused on products as its core priority, aiming at the transformation in the field of high-quality and special steels, and making every effort to develop special wire rods with high technological content and high added value. The wire rods used for ENi3 special welding wires are primarily applied in pressure vessels, construction machinery, ships, oil and gas pipelines, heavy equipment, etc. The environments in which they are used often involve high pressures, low temperatures, heavy loads, and complex corrosion conditions; as a result, high demands are placed on parameters such as the welding safety, structural reliability, and long-term service life of these products, which makes production more challenging. In the face of numerous challenges, Ansteel Co., Ltd.’s wire rod plant and its steelmaking plant worked closely together to strictly control the purity of the molten steel and the accuracy of its composition, optimizing the quality of the steel billets from the source. They also took advantage of their specialized grinding equipment to improve the surface quality of these billets. The factory has also formed a technical research team in collaboration with Ansteel’s Technology Center and Product Development Center, focusing on key areas such as high-precision rolling and controlled rolling/cooling processes to carry out targeted research. This approach ensures that all product specifications are met while enabling large-scale mass production. At the same time, the factory’s technical staff and Ansteel’s marketing personnel worked closely with downstream customers, keeping track of the feedback regarding product trials and usage throughout the process, thereby creating favorable conditions for a steady increase in orders. Customers have reported that the welding materials produced using ENi3 special welding wire rods possess advantages such as low welding spatter, excellent shape quality, and good adaptability, making them perfectly suited to the stringent requirements of advanced manufacturing industries.
