How should coil heat exchangers be arranged?

The heat exchanger has a diameter of 2.5 m and a height of 2.5 m; it is used to heat liquid chemical materials from room temperature to 120°C. The heat exchanger is open, with two impellers inside for stirring. Coils are installed within the heat exchanger, and steam is used to heat these coils. We are considering installing the coils on the inner wall of the reactor – is it necessary to install coils at the bottom of the reactor as well in order to improve heating efficiency? Which has a higher heating efficiency, the inner wall coil or the bottom coil? Our chemical materials tend to solidify and form lumps when cooled.
The bottom coil has better heating efficiency.
Based on the characteristics of your material, I think adding a bottom coil would yield better results.
Thank you for all your suggestions. I also think that the bottom coil provides better heat transfer; heat is transferred from bottom to top through convection. Just like when we boil water, it’s always the bottom that gets heated – we don’t see heating from the top or from the sides. In a cup of cold water, if hot water is poured on top without stirring, the bottom remains cold. But if a pipe is used to direct hot water straight to the bottom, the water there warms up immediately
