For an 8-pass U-tube heat exchanger, with this arrangement, there are fewer tubes in the passes on the horizontal center sides compared to those in the four upper and lower passes – a difference of two tubes
At the very top, one tube is placed outside the three tubes, and at the lowest outermost position of the same tube bank, the heat exchange tubes are combined into one tie rod. Piping layout at the original tie rod hole location.
At first, I arranged it as shown in the figure below; the yellow line indicates the location of the cutouts on the baffle plates. As a result, the baffle plates seem unstable. I was wondering if it would be possible to install tie rods along the horizontal center line
Sure, why not? The one on top can be placed above.
Place it on the center line; moving the one at the very top downward will make it more stable.
The centerline isn’t good enough either; pipes with a spacing of only 25.19 were ignored. It seems that the heat exchange pipes in this section will have to be designed differently
The pull rod can be arranged on the back of the partition slot. Does not occupy the tube’s space
