I’ve calculated the spacing of the baffle plates and other related values now, but I’m not quite sure about how to determine the length of the tie rods
What does that mean? Look at where the tie rod is fixed to the baffle plate; then the distance from the baffle plate to the tube sheet, plus the distance it needs to be screwed into the tube sheet, plus the distance covered by the two nuts and any exposed portion – isn’t that the length of the tie rod?

For LZ, one can refer to Figure 6-33 in GB151-2014 P38: for the exposed baffle 10 in spot welding, take the value related to that; for the exposed baffle in a tubular structure, add 10 mm to the thickness of the two nuts. I usually choose an integer value, rounding it up to 5 mm or 10 mm
I thought the same at first, but I didn’t see any specific details mentioned on 151 either:P
Just check what the nut size is and you’ll know
Just go to the workshop and take a look, and you’ll know. There are no specific standards. It mainly consists of the thread penetration depth of the tube sheet + the length between the baffle plates (calculate this value yourself), + the width of the nuts (usually two) + a margin
Are you referring to the distance from the pull rod to the last baffle? Generally, extending it by 10 mm beyond the nut is sufficient; then the total length is rounded to either 0 or 5. That’s how I do it, and there are no special requirements for this. The basic principle is to expose a certain length of the nut; you can decide how long this section should be, as long as it facilitates installation.
