Those with a degree in petrochemical engineering have decent job prospects. Even though there is less fuel, oil will continue to be used in more and more areas. Its use in the energy sector may gradually decline, but it certainly decreased in 2025. It’s likely that changes will occur step by step even in the automotive industry; it would be great if we could manage to handle private cars adequately by 2025. It’s still too early for things like battery swapping in special vehicles; even though fuel use is decreasing, it seems that methanol-based gasoline and similar alternatives are those being promoted
There is still a long way to go in the field of petrochemicals, so there’s no need to worry unnecessarily
There is great potential in the deep processing of oil, so there’s no need to worry
Most of the companies in the petrochemical industry are state-owned enterprises; even those that are private are run by large business owners. There’s no need to wonder for how many years this industry will continue to exist, as these companies have strong capabilities to adapt their products.
