100 t/h of chemical wastewater (containing trace amounts of sludge), at a temperature of 65°C; it needs to be cooled to 40°C. A plate heat exchanger (with wide channels) should be used, one that is also easy to disassemble and clean. Used to heat water for bathing, around 35°C to 55°C. How to install a plate heat exchanger? Please help, experts.

It depends on the parameters of the fluid; for fluids with high pressure, detachable plate exchangers are not suitable； For wastewater, it is recommended to use a spiral plate exchanger on the 2nd floor; it is best to install a filter at the inlet.
Is wastewater corrosive? If corrosivity is a concern, graphite heat exchangers are recommended. --

It is necessary to know the flow rate and pressure of the wastewater, as well as the inlet and outlet temperatures; also, the flow rate and pressure of the water used for bathing. Based on this information, it can be determined whether it is possible to heat the water to 55°C. If so, it can be calculated what size of heat exchanger is required. Finally, the appropriate material and type of heat exchanger can be selected depending on the composition of the wastewater.
