Our company currently has one three-effect evaporation system. The concentrated liquid produced by evaporation is currently disposed of through incineration, but the cost of this method is too high. We are considering installing an evaporation-crystallization unit specifically for treating this concentrated liquid. We would like to seek advice from those with more experience on this matter. Theoretically, the operating costs of evaporation crystallization are higher than those of incineration; if the amount of concentrate produced by the three-effect process is not large, it’s better to opt for incineration.

The concentrate is sprayed dry and then incinerated. The amount of waste incinerated is expected to be reduced by half, and equipment designed solely for burning solids requires much less investment and operational cost compared to equipment used for burning saline wastewater.
