Why is a liquid level controller required for liquefied gas using an air-cooled vaporizer, whereas it is not needed for other types of liquefied gas vaporizers?
Here is the manufacturer’s product description: The LPG air-temperature vaporizer features a vertical finned-tube design; it has a novel structure. The equipment can automatically adjust the liquid level in order to change the heat transfer area and thus adapt to changes in production load. When the production load becomes too high and the liquid level rises to a certain point, the float valve automatically closes the gas outlet, making it highly reliable. These vaporizers in this series utilize the principle of pressure-reduced vaporization; the liquid LPG coming from cylinders or storage tanks is depressurized by a pressure regulation system, which causes the temperature of the liquid LPG to drop significantly. This increases the temperature difference with the ambient temperature, thereby boosting the heat transfer rate. It then enters the evaporation section of the air-temperature gasifier, where the unevaporated LPG absorbs heat from the surrounding environment to vaporize. The liquid level in the evaporation section rises or falls automatically depending on the load. The gaseous LPG passes through a liquid level controller and enters the superheating section, where it is heated by the temperature of the surrounding environment. Gaseous LPG is discharged from the outlet and enters the medium-pressure pipeline network to supply users. Safety valves are installed on the outlet pipes to ensure safety, and a level control device automatically shuts off the gas phase outlet to prevent liquid LPG from entering the pipeline network.
