Question: On a DCS, how can one determine whether a heat exchanger has a tube side or a shell side?
Isn’t the identification already done when configuring on DCS?
In the diagram, which one is the tube side and which one is the shell side—the longer horizontal line?
The part where the material passes through the tubes is called the tube side, while everything that does not pass through the tubes is the shell side. Isn’t this basic knowledge?
Are the two vertical lines in the middle pipes? That is, the long horizontal line represents the pipe stage, right?
The two vertical lines in the middle represent the pipe path; in your diagram, the horizontal lines should be drawn inside the circle and connected to the vertical lines, thereby indicating that data is flowing along the pipe path
