I’ve been researching recently the use of plate heat exchangers in eliminating the white tail phenomenon in flue gas. Does anyone with knowledge on this topic know anything about it? Could you please provide some information?

In the process unit for regenerating hydrochloric acid by burning the acid waste from steel pickling and recovering iron oxide red, we use graphite heat exchangers. Graphite heat exchangers offer excellent performance in the condensation and absorption of hydrochloric acid, as well as in eliminating white mist from the exhaust gases; almost no white mist is visible in the exhaust gases.
