I was wondering if anyone has information on the structure of the thrust screws and tie rods. I’ve never seen the internal structure in person, nor can it be found in any standards. Are there any paper drawings or CAD files available? Thank you very much
What screw? The one for the tie rod. I know where tie rods are used – they’re on heat exchangers. What are set screws?
Are all the things LZ mentioned used in heat exchangers? Generally, heat exchangers have areas where set screws are used, such as on the head flanges, primarily for disassembly ； On heat exchangers, tie rods are generally used together with spacers to position the baffle plates.
It’s on the heat exchanger. Could you please explain in detail what the structure of the set screws is like? Or rather, how are the set screws connected – by bolts? Thank you
This is the set screw. It is placed between the two bolt holes of the flange.
