Our company is now planning to install a 5-ton distillation tank for vacuum distillation of water. The heat source is steam, with the temperature inside the tank ranging from 70 to 90°C. The vacuum pump has an exhaust capacity of 200 L/s. The condenser used in conjunction with this vacuum pump relies on circulating water as the cooling medium, with the temperature of this circulating water being between 30 and 32°C. The condensed water vapor should flow through the shell side, while the cooling water flows through the tube side; the condenser should be placed horizontally, right? What is the operating pressure on the process side that is still missing? If it is pumped with a vacuum pump, it will definitely be in a vacuum state. Is it acceptable to use the saturated vapor pressure of water vapor at 40~60°C? Also, what is the flow rate of the non-condensable gases? What are the material requirements for heat exchange tubes?
