Installation and usage methods of plate heat exchangers: Plate heat exchangers can be installed in two ways, depending on whether they have saddle supports or not. Firstly, for plate heat exchangers that do not have saddle supports, the heat exchanger should be installed on a brick-built saddle foundation; after installation, the plate heat exchanger does not need to be fixed to the foundation, allowing it to move freely as it expands. Secondly, for plate exchangers with saddle supports, concrete should first be poured on the foundation; once it has fully dried, the saddle supports should be securely fixed to the concrete floor using anchor bolts. Precautions for installing plate heat exchangers: 1. The plate heat exchanger has 4 lifting holes for lifting purposes; the lifting ropes should not be tied directly to the frame of the exchanger or to the plate assemblies. Attention must be paid to the equipment’s center of gravity during lifting. 2. During the installation of the plate heat exchanger, sufficient space should be left at both the front and rear ends of the exchanger for maintenance and cleaning. 3. Before installation, check whether the cold and hot medium inlets and outlets of the pipeline match those on the plate heat exchanger; it is advisable to install thermometers and pressure gauges at the inlet and outlet positions to monitor the temperature and pressure of the media at any time. 4. The heat exchanger must not be operated under conditions that exceed those specified on its nameplate. It is necessary to monitor and analyze the clamping dimensions of the heat exchanger, as well as the temperature and pressure of the heat exchange medium, in order to prevent abnormal operation of the heat exchanger. 5. If the heat exchange medium is quite turbid or contains solid particles, a filtering device must be installed at the inlet pipe of the medium ; 6. Before starting operation, the pipes of the plate heat exchanger must be cleaned thoroughly to prevent weld slag or sand from entering the exchanger, which could cause blockages and wear, thereby affecting its heat exchange efficiency and service life ; 7. If the outlet pressure of the pump is greater than the operating pressure of the heat exchanger, a pressure reducing valve and a safety valve should be installed at the inlet of the heat exchanger.
