1. It possesses excellent resistance to hydrogen sulfide stress corrosion and uniform corrosion, as well as good resistance to hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC); it is therefore a steel suitable for use in environments subject to hydrogen corrosion. It is commonly used in hydrogen production units for petrochemical processes. 2. This steel contains rare earth elements, which enhance its corrosion resistance; it’s like adding some seasoning to a dish, which greatly improves its taste. 3.
