For conveying equipment, it’s not just maintenance that matters; workers also need to follow proper operating procedures while at work. Only in this way can the conveyor belt operate properly. It should also be noted that maintenance involves not only the upkeep of the conveyor’s hardware components, but also ensuring that operators follow proper procedures. The layout of the assembly line should ensure the shortest possible transportation routes for parts, facilitate operations for production workers, ease the work of support services, make the most efficient use of the production area, and take into account the coordination between different sections of the assembly line. To meet these requirements, factors such as the layout format of the assembly line and the arrangement method of the work areas where the assembly line is installed should be considered in the planning of the assembly line layout. 1. Maintenance of the motor and transformer in the conveyor accessories: Water must not get inside the motor, as this can lead to damage to the motor’s insulation and result in the equipment failing to operate. 2. Maintenance of conveyor accessory chains: The chains require close monitoring, and butter and lubricant should be applied regularly. As the chains operate continuously, the lubricant evaporates, which can lead to increased noise and problems such as uneven movement. 3. Conveyor accessories: Maintenance of the reduction gearbox at the head of the conveyor: After its first use, after about one quarter of a year, all the excess oil in the reduction gearbox should be drained; then the gearbox can be cleaned using gasoline, diesel, etc., and finally new lubricant should be added up to the middle level indicated by the observation window. Repeat this process every year thereafter. (We need to note that using too little lubricant can cause excessive noise and overheating in the gearbox, and may even lead to its destruction. Additionally, the amount of lubricant used each time should not exceed the middle part of the observation window; using too much will result in overheating of the gearbox, excessive load on the motor, and the activation of the protection switch.
