Newbie seeking help: Maintenance strategy for the lubricating oil filter two-position three-way valve (not a solenoid valve). I hope those with experience in this area can offer some advice. Thank you.
Why does this need to be repaired? It’s just a directional control valve, used occasionally

This can’t be repaired casually; getting the position wrong will cause trouble. . . . It might even leak oil. . . . If you need to disassemble it, be sure to make marks so as not to get the directions mixed up, which would cause trouble. . . . . Open the gland and take it out directly; it is a tapered five-way plug.
Maintenance of the valve? It shouldn’t break down easily, right? Here we clean the filter elements. Switch back and forth between them?
Mainly, the sealing rings on the upper and lower covers tend to leak; replacing them will solve the problem, and there’s no need to disassemble anything else for maintenance
Sometimes it might be because something is stuck inside; just take it apart, clean it with kerosene, and clear the blockage
