Are there any people who use horizontal spiral centrifuges? Introduce the disadvantages of use so we can be aware of them. The particle size of our company’s products is 15 microns, and the pH value of the mother liquor is around 2-3; separation and washing are required. I’m not sure if a horizontal spiral centrifuge is suitable It was originally a filter press, which is inefficient and prone to leakage.
It’s not necessary to use a horizontal spiral centrifuge; a scraper centrifuge can be used instead
If the material is fine, using a horizontal screw conveyor will definitely cause material leakage; it is recommended to use a scraper centrifuge

If the material is fine and has high viscosity, a horizontal screw centrifuge is the appropriate choice; but if the viscosity is not high, as mentioned in post 4, there will be a lot of material loss. Using a scraper may result in a slightly lower separation factor, but drying or air flow can be used to address this issue later on~~~
Our company previously used similar systems for material separation; at first, semi-frame types were employed, and later vertical screw separators were tried, but they couldn’t be adjusted properly. Now, much more advanced equipment is available as a replacement, with full automation. Those who are interested can add me on WeChat at 13773413348, and I’ll introduce the manufacturers to you
