Poka-yoke: It is a type of behavioral constraint aimed at prevention and correction, using restriction methods to avoid errors so that operators can carry out the correct operations intuitively without needing to concentrate, nor do they require experience or specialized knowledge. Poka-yoke is a term derived from a direct translation of the English word. In industrial design, in order to prevent damage to machines or to people caused by accidental actions on the part of users – including unconscious movements, habitual mistakes, or careless physical actions – preventive measures are put in place to address such potential situations; this is what is referred to as pokayaoke.
