A belt conveyor is a type of conveyor that can transport materials horizontally, at an angle, or in a straight line, and it is widely used in the food industry. Currently, the key technical specifications of mesh belt conveyors used in the food industry feature the following aspects: 1. Larger scale of mesh belt conveyor equipment – its main technical parameters and design elements are evolving toward larger sizes in order to meet the demands of high-volume, efficient, and intensive production on the order of 3–5 million tons per year. 2. The belt conveyor equipment makes use of advanced technologies such as dynamic analysis techniques, mechatronics, and computer monitoring. It employs high-power soft start and automatic tensioning systems to carry out dynamic monitoring of the conveyor, which **significantly reduces the dynamic tension of the conveyor belt. As a result, the equipment operates efficiently and with high transportation efficiency. 3. The belt conveyor features good reliability, thanks to the use of multiple drive units or a central drive system along with power balance mechanisms, as well as technologies that enable reversible operation of the conveyor. This ensures that the operating length of a single belt conveyor is theoretically limited, while also guaranteeing the versatility and interchangeability of the conveyor system’s components, as well as the reliability of its individual drive units. 4. The key components that contribute to the modern design and high reliability of belt conveyors include various advanced high-power drive and speed control devices such as CST, high-lasting high-speed idlers, self-cleaning drum systems, efficient belt storage devices, and quick-moving conveyor tails. Tip: Consider the tension limits of the conveyor belt; the maximum length of a single belt conveyor line is generally not more than 20 meters.
