There is a heat treatment specification, and there are issues related to the performance parameters of welding materials; please help clarify these points. According to China’s standards for pressure vessels and pipelines, the heat treatment temperatures for 2.25Cr-1Mo/12Cr2Mo1 (the Fe5A category in NB/T47014) vary. In the standards for pressure vessels, the minimum holding temperature is 660°C, while in the pipeline standards (such as GB50235), it is 700–760°C. In accordance with pipeline standards, welding materials in line with NB/T47018 are also used. Based on the corresponding wire standards GB8110-2008 and electrode standards GB5118-2018 specified in NB/T47018, the mechanical property requirements for these welding materials refer to those obtained after heat treatment at 675–705°C. This temperature is lower than the heat treatment requirements for pipelines. Can welding materials purchased in this way be directly used for pipeline welding operations? And now, domestic welding materials also meet ASME welding material certification requirements, indicating compliance with the ASME welding material standard E9015-B3; the mechanical property values specified in the ASME standard for after-treatment apply to heating at 675–705°C
