As shown in the hemispherical head, there is a straight edge 35. When drawing a floor plan, the straight edges are not actually straight. I have a question: 1. How is this head manufactured? 2. If the hemispherical head is not a complete hemisphere, how is it manufactured? Should it be processed first and then cut, or shaped directly from the actual unfolded material? 3. When using CAD for drawing, are the edges still straight? Thank you so much.
These small end caps are all formed directly from the actual unfolded material
Housings of this diameter are directly stamped from molds. Are the data for this head in the above image incorrect? There should be a transition arc where the straight edge meets R.

It is either forged; in that case, machining it directly results in a high degree of dimensional accuracy; It is either produced by directly stamping custom molds, and after stamping it is trimmed at the edges. It’s hard to say regarding cost; if only stamping is considered, forging will definitely be more expensive, but it’s uncertain if the dies are custom-made. From a time cost perspective, if no die sets are custom-made, stamping is definitely faster than forging. ““The straight edges are not straight,’” I didn’t understand what that meant, but when creating drawings in CAD, they should definitely be consistent with the original design. Also, regarding the arc issue mentioned by someone, the drawings should include textual explanations on this matter. Moreover, foreign drawings for such parts usually indicate whether they are forged or stamped.
