How to use density meter: 1. Determination of bulk density: Adjust the height of the storage funnel of the density tester and the vibration voltage and slope of the feeder to control the feeding speed at 3.5ml/s. Put the spare sample into the storage funnel of the measuring instrument, pass it through the upper sleeve of the measuring container, and add it into the measuring container with a volume of 100 ml. 2. Determination of tap density: Adjust the vibration voltage of the density measuring instrument to control the vibration frequency at 140 to 160 times/min. Take 120ml of the reserve sample and divide it into three times. Each time, 1/3 of the sample amount is passed through the upper sleeve of the measuring container and poured into the measuring container. Each time it is poured, it vibrates 1,000 times and resonates 3,000 times. Note: For spherical samples with a particle diameter greater than 5mm and strip samples with a bar diameter greater than 3mm, take 360ml of spare samples. Remove the sleeve at the upper end of the container and use a ruler to scrape off the sample that is higher than the container. Weigh the sample in the measurement container (accurate to 0.01g). 3. Determine the water absorption of the sample: Immediately take two portions of the sample after measuring the bulk density, each about 10g, and place them into two weighed (accurate to 0.01g) porcelain crucibles. Place the porcelain crucible containing the sample into a box-type resistance furnace and bake it at 550°C for 1 hour. Take out two porcelain crucibles and place them in a vacuum desiccator. Under the condition F that the air pressure is less than 1.0×103Pa, cool the sample to the chamber. Common faults that may occur when using density testers and how to troubleshoot them: 1. After turning on the host, the screen does not light up or a black screen does not appear.: Check whether the device itself has power and whether the power supply is normal. 2. No response even when pressing the button: If the interface is abnormal, please check whether some button operations respond and restart the device. 3. The test results are all zero: Confirm whether the current curve value (Kv) set value is 0, check whether there is monochromatic light in the colorimetric cell, and check whether the water sample containing the blank is taken from all the same samples. 4. Empty solution cannot be reset to zero: Restart the instrument, the air can be reset normally, or the top cover is closed when the instrument is turned on, check whether the blank solution is turbid, and check whether monochromatic light exists in the colorimetric tank or passes through normally. 5. The density meter displays unstable measurement results and the value fluctuates up and down.: Check whether there is liquid suspension on the outer wall of the cuvette; use air to zero and observe whether the transmittance is stable; whether the density meter is preheated before colorimetry; check whether the colorimetric solution is turbid and observe whether there are suspended solids; whether the colorimetric cap is properly sealed and there is strong direct light interference; after the water cooling is completed, whether it is mixed repeatedly when transferred to the cuvette.
Density is one of the important indicators. It is necessary to use instruments with high precision and easy operation.
