To help the flexible conveyor carry out material transportation smoothly, many auxiliary devices are required. However, the use of these auxiliary devices often poses various safety issues. Therefore, to ensure their safe use, we must pay attention to the following points: 1. The braking system of the flexible conveyor must be in a state where it can be activated at any time to apply brakes. 2. The tensioning device of the flexible conveyor should be equipped with limit position switches, and protective devices should prevent employees from entering the space beneath the weight. In the absence of such protective devices, a support mechanism should be installed beneath the weight, with a clear distance from the ground or other working surfaces of not less than 2.5 meters. Its braking friction surface must be free of defects or oil contamination. 3. Protective devices should be installed at locations where crew members usually approach the flexible conveyor’s weight-hanging tensioning device. Its limiting clamping device should be able to withstand the maximum wind force under operating conditions without being blown away, and the stoppers at the ends of the track should ensure that the unloading vehicle does not derail or tip over. 4. The braking devices for normal and emergency use of flexible conveyors should be clearly marked and located in easily accessible positions. During the operation of flexible conveyors, accidents can easily occur if safety precautions are not observed regarding many of the components involved. Flexible conveyors are the most commonly used type of conveyor, and their safe operation is something we must pay attention to. These auxiliary devices are essential as well, so we cannot ignore them.
