At present, large-scale mechanical equipment is essential in every factory, and flexible conveyors are one such type. It’s not hard to notice that they can be found in many factories. Nevertheless, many people still do not fully understand the methods for adjusting flexible conveyors. Below, the editor will share some information on this topic with you. 1. Conduct an unpacking inspection of the flexible conveyor: check whether the accessories match those listed in the packing list, ensure that all components, attachments, tools, and documents are present, and inspect for any damage or contamination to the conveyor’s accessories during transportation. 2. The flexible conveyor is used to position the unit and its various components, and to carry out the necessary alignment and fixation. 3. Clean the hydraulic actuators in the machines connected to the flexible conveyor, and flush out the longer pipes and hoses. 4. Check the power supply voltage of the flexible conveyor, then connect the power circuit and the control circuit. Connect the cooling water source as required, and check that the rotation direction of the pump is correct. 5. The flexible conveyor’s oil tank should be filled with the specified oil; do not fill it beyond the maximum level mark. Special attention should be paid to keeping the area clean during the filling process. 6. Start the drive motor of the flexible conveyor and check its rotation direction. 7. Adjust the pressure control valve of the flexible conveyor, the flow control valve, and the pressure regulator of the variable pump to low settings, and place the direction control valve in the neutral position. The accumulators of flexible conveyors should be inflated to the specified pressure; calculated in terms of absolute pressure, the inflation pressure for accumulators used to absorb hydraulic shocks and pulses should be 0.5–0.8 times the rated pressure of the accumulator circuit. In summary, these points are the key aspects of the commissioning procedures for flexible conveyors; please keep them in mind.
