As the title suggests, I’m not very clear about this classification
1. Alloy steel; 2. Stainless steel should also be considered alloy steel
None of them; low-alloy steel includes heat-resistant steel and low-alloy structural steel
In fact, both low-alloy steel and stainless steel are types of alloy steel; stainless steel belongs to the category of high-alloy steel, it’s just that in the industry, low-alloy steel is classified as carbon steel.
Low-alloy high-strength steel, I guess. The specific heat of Q345R – generally, many people would say that it is carbon steel.
GB/T150 classifies steel into carbon steel and alloy steel; alloy steel is further divided into low-alloy steel and high-alloy steel. Q245R belongs to carbon steel, while Q345R and 08Ni3DR fall under low-alloy steel, and stainless steel belongs to high-alloy steel.
Alloy steel with a total content of alloying elements less than 5% is called low-alloy steel. Low-alloy steel is a term used in contrast to carbon steel; it is created by adding one or several alloying elements to carbon steel in order to improve one or more of its properties. When the amount of these alloying elements added exceeds the levels typically found in carbon steel produced using conventional methods, such steel is referred to as an alloy steel. When the total alloy content is below 5%, it is called low-alloy steel. Alloy steels with an alloy content between 5-10% are called medium-alloy steels ; Those with a content greater than 10% are known as high-alloy steels.
