Flexible chain plates can meet the needs of various industries, and they offer many advantages such as a simple structure and ease of maintenance and cleaning. Although flexible chain plates are very convenient to use, if we fail to pay attention to certain issues, they are prone to various types of failures, which not only disrupt normal operation but also require significant effort, resources, and costs for repair. Therefore, to protect the interests of our many users, the following three points should be taken into consideration when using flexible chain plates: 1. Flexible chain plates must have sufficient strength. It is strictly prohibited to use low-strength chain plates in place of high-strength chain plates. 2. Regarding the braking device for flexible chain plate conveyors. On the one hand, the flexible chain conveyor must be in a state where braking can be applied at any time under the braking device. Its braking friction surface must not have any defects that could impair braking performance or be contaminated with oil. On the other hand, the braking devices of flexible chain conveyor systems for normal and emergency use should have prominent markings and be located in easily accessible positions. 3. When using flexible chain plates, a limit switch should be installed on the tensioning device to prevent excessive tension. When the automatic tensioning device reaches its extreme position, it is necessary to ensure that the power supply for lifting is automatically cut off, and a signal indicating that lifting is prohibited is issued. When it drops to the limit position, it ensures that the power for descent is automatically cut off and issues a signal prohibiting further descent. These are all based on considerations related to operational safety, and they represent important measures to ensure that flexible chain plates can minimize the occurrence of failures; therefore, everyone must not overlook them.
