A flexible conveyor is a three-dimensional conveying system that combines various elements, using an aluminum alloy frame and a plastic-steel conveyor chain. Flexible conveyors can be divided into flexible screw conveyors and flexible chain plate conveyors. Flexible conveyors have advantages such as an attractive appearance, light weight, low noise, no pollution, and fast installation, and are often used in production processes where high hygiene standards are required. Such as pharmaceutical factories, food factories, cosmetics factories, etc. I suppose many of you are not very familiar with the installation of flexible conveyors, so I will introduce to you the installation process for such conveyors. Before installing the flexible conveyor, each component should be cleaned, the rust-preventing grease removed, and an inspection carried out. The holes in the base also need to be cleaned and inspected so that they can be installed properly. Lift the frame onto the foundation, then insert the foot bolts into the foot plates. After that, install the tracks; once the tracks are in place, install the drive sprocket assembly, the tail wheel assembly, the tensioning device, and the chain plates. Finally, install the flexible conveyor motor, reducer, and other equipment. First, transport all the components of the flexible conveyor to the installation location and arrange them in order; transport all the components to the installation location and arrange them in sequence ； Assemble the head, tail, and drive section of the flexible conveyor ； Assemble the head and tail pushing sections of the flexible conveyor ； Arrange the head and tail pushing units according to the length of the working face, and connect the driving units of the flexible conveyor’s head and tail to those pushing units ； Assemble the drive parts at the head and tail of the flexible conveyor with the variable-width groove ； Install chutes and chain plates ； Install cable tray ； Assemble the tail coal return cover for the flexible conveyor ； Finally, the cooling water pipes should be installed and connected to the reducer cooling system; then the electrical control system should be installed and the conveyor scraper chain tightened. When installing a flexible conveyor, it is necessary to inspect the contents of the package; this involves checking whether all components are present and whether there are any damages. Once everything is confirmed to be in order, the foundation can be constructed. It is important to determine the centerline and central position of the flexible conveyor, after which reinforced concrete is poured, followed by the proper maintenance of the foundation. After maintaining it for a period of time and verifying that there are no issues, the equipment can then be installed. The above is a basic installation process; now everyone should have a basic understanding of installing flexible conveyors. When installing flexible conveyors, we must follow the standard procedures; this not only helps to reduce the time wasted on installation but also prevents various problems that can arise from using the wrong parts.
