The dynamic characteristics of a scraper conveyor mainly include the response functions generated under external influences, such as tension, speed, displacement, acceleration, and the total operating resistance of the conveyor. External incentives mainly include driving forces and braking forces applied by the system, polygon effects, displacement with an automatic tension adjustment system, changes in the amount of material on the conveyor, and fault loads. The control problem of the dynamic characteristics of a scraper conveyor refers to controlling its input based on the difference between the set output target and the actual output, so as to make its output meet specific requirements. If the output is optimal, then the problem under study is an optimal control problem. The input excitations of scraper conveyors are divided into controllable and uncontrollable types, and the control analysis principle for the dynamic characteristics of controllable input excitations is shown in Figure 1. Simulation analysis shows that the starting characteristics affect the dynamics of the scraper conveyor. Characteristics have a significant impact. The following mainly discusses the optimization of controllable start-up characteristics, with the goal of minimizing fluctuations in the system. The starting characteristics of the scraper conveyor have a significant impact on its dynamic behavior. By adopting appropriate start-up process control, the dynamic shock of the scraper conveyor during start-up can be reduced. Through the control strategy for starting belt conveyors, it was confirmed that starting with a pre-started reverse “S”-shaped speed characteristic curve is the most reasonable approach, thereby providing a basis for the design of high-power, highly reliable belt conveyors.
