What causes cracks in the welds of stainless steel heads?

The head is made of S30408, with a thickness of 12 and a diameter of 2500. It was assembled by joining together sections and formed through cold pressing; however, numerous transverse cracks appeared at the welds and on both sides. What could be the cause of this?
If it is a transverse crack, it should be a problem remaining from the pressing process. Cold pressing: depending on the properties of the material, uneven stress application can lead to such phenomena.
