On November 18, in the awards for outstanding achievements in the \"Comprehensive Welding Management Activities for Engineering Construction\" organized by the China Engineering Construction Welding Association for the year 2025, the welding work carried out on the two 270,000-cubic-meter storage tanks for the Phase I expansion project of the Jiangsu Binhai LNG facility, as well as the two 100,000-cubic-meter storage tanks for the Wuhu Yangtze River LNG inland reception (transshipment) station – projects both undertaken by Sinopec Fourth Construction Storage and Transportation Engineering Company – were awarded the \"Outstanding Achievement Award\" thanks to their rigorous quality control and effective technological innovations. Both projects have achieved targeted breakthroughs in welding technology. The company’s Wuhu project ensured the long-term safe operation of storage tanks in extreme cold conditions of -162°C by employing low-temperature resistant and fatigue-resistant welding techniques as well as digital quality control throughout the entire production cycle ; The company’s LNG project in Binhai, Jiangsu, employs low-temperature suitable welding techniques along with strict management practices to ensure the sealing integrity and structural safety of large storage tanks under similar operating conditions; its technical and managerial approaches have been recognized by the industry. The acquisition of these two **-level awards demonstrates the company’s expertise in the welding of large LNG storage tanks, laying a solid foundation for taking on related key projects in the future.
