Dear friends, I have encountered a difficult problem at work. Please give me your guidance. The company's heating boilers use strong alkaline water circulation for desulfurization, and the strong alkali water circulation pipes use GB/T8163-2008 seamless steel pipes for transporting fluids. A large amount of strong alkali is added to the circulating water, causing frequent corrosion and damage to the pipes and valves, requiring frequent repairs. I would like to ask all my friends, what kind of pipe material should be used to prevent strong alkali corrosion of pipes? The circulating pump was installed earlier and is not controlled by variable frequency. The vibration of the motor and circulating pump is relatively large. At the same time, the adverse effects caused by the vibration of the water pump need to be considered. PS: Due to the low level of employees, stainless steel pipes cannot be welded and maintained, PPR and PE pipes cannot be hot melted, and the reliability of PVC pipes cannot be guaranteed.
Fluorine-lined pipes are corrosion-resistant and must be connected with flanges for installation. The employees in your company are really top-notch. Can't do anything
This depends on the concentration of the alkali solution and the temperature of the heating water. Which part of the carbon steel is corroded? Is it just the weld seam? Or is the pipe body also corroded? If there are only welds, should we consider post-weld heat treatment to eliminate stress? If the temperature is relatively high, it is not recommended to use steel pipes, and stainless steel pipes will not work, so use fluorine-lined pipes.
The pipe body, pipes and flange connections are severely corroded, and the carbon steel butterfly valve plate is severely corroded, with temperatures reaching 50 or 60 degrees Celsius.
Employees of old state-owned enterprises cannot be commanded by their leaders, let alone me. As soon as I say it, I just don’t know how to do it and can’t do it. I just laughed
What specific medium are you talking about the strong alkali? What is the concentration of the alkali solution? You can refer to the corrosion curve of the alkali solution to see if it is in zone C. If so, it is recommended to choose fluorine-lined pipes.
How high is the temperature? If the temperature is not high, plastic pipes are more economical
The use of polymer anti-corrosion coating can ensure the corrosion of various media such as alkali liquid and chloride ions, so the equipment can be used for a long time.
Steel-lined plastic pipes can suffice:)
It is recommended to use steel-lined F4 for pipelines and steel-lined PFA valves for valves.
There is no need to use PFA, which is more expensive and has a temperature resistance of up to 130 degrees. For desulfurization, just use polymer-lined ones. F46 is corrosion-resistant but not wear-resistant, but the maximum temperature resistance of polymer materials is 80 degrees.
