The corrosion of equipment caused by sulfur in the material (elemental sulfur or other forms of sulfur)
In materials, there is heavy sulfur and light sulfur – how can they be distinguished? Help needed
Sulfur oxidizes to acid, causing corrosion of equipment.
They all cause corrosion to the equipment in the form of acids or acid solutions.
It forms easily under high temperatures; in petroleum and coal chemical raw materials, it is mostly already present together with those substances. Thank you
Corrosion occurs in an acidic form; the higher the temperature, the faster the corrosion rate
At high temperatures, it is S+Fe=ferrous sulfide; at low temperatures, hydrogen sulfide is generated, which then causes corrosion
