As the title indicates, it is a sodium sulfide solution containing 30% sodium sulfide and less than 5% sodium hydroxide. The operating temperature over the long term is 80–90°C, with a pressure of 10 bar (kilograms). Currently, FRPP is used as the material for the pipes, but some pipe manufacturers claim that FRPP cannot be used at such high temperatures for extended periods of time, and suggest using PPH instead. I searched for some papers online and found that as the temperature increases, the pressure resistance of FRPP decreases accordingly. May I ask, which is better to choose, FRPP or PPH? If PPH is chosen, how can the quality of the pipes be ensured? Could you recommend some large manufacturers?

Alkalis do not corrode iron. Sodium sulfide is a strong base and weak acid salt, commonly known as sodium sulfide. The overall solution is strongly alkaline and will not corrode carbon steel equipment. The components in papermaking cooking liquor are similar, and ordinary carbon steel is used for the equipment.

PPH pipe standards: 1. Made from glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene material treated with coupling agents, for the transportation of water and corrosive liquids in general applications. 2. PPH pipes are primarily used in steel mills for the pickling of thin sheets and in systems for the recovery and recycling of waste acid. They can also be employed in industries such as chemicals, environmental protection, power generation, and food processing. II. Characteristics of PPH pipes 1. Hygienic and non-toxic: This product is a green building material used in drinking water pipeline systems. 2. Low-temperature resistance: The low-temperature embrittlement temperature of polypropylene is (-70°C); under normal conditions, no special protective measures are required during construction, making it convenient to work in winter. It has good impact resistance, and the pipes will not crack brittlely. 3. Corrosion resistance and no scaling: PE molecules are non-polar and possess good chemical stability; aside from a few strong oxidizing agents, most chemical substances do not cause damage to them. It does not breed bacteria or form scale, and its flow area does not decrease as operating time increases. 4. Stress resistance: PPH pipes exhibit low notch sensitivity, high shear strength, and excellent scratch resistance; their resistance to environmental stress cracking is also very good. 5. Wear resistance: The wear resistance of PPH pipes is 4 times that of steel pipes. 6. Flexibility: The flexibility of PPH pipes allows them to bend easily, and in engineering applications, it is possible to bypass obstacles by changing the direction of the pipes. 7. Flow resistance: PE pipes have a smooth inner surface, resulting in low flow resistance; they can accommodate a larger flow rate compared to other pipes of the same diameter.
