Hazardous chemicals refer to highly toxic chemicals and other chemicals that possess properties such as toxicity, corrosivity, explosiveness, flammability, or oxidizing ability, and that pose threats to human health, facilities, and the environment. The storage of hazardous chemicals must comply with **laws, regulations, and other relevant provisions. What are the requirements for storing hazardous chemicals? (1) Storage location. Hazardous chemicals must be stored in dedicated warehouses, specialized sites, or special storage rooms, and the methods of storage as well as the quantities stored must comply with **standards. Special warehouses for hazardous chemicals must meet the safety and fire protection requirements of **standards, and should be equipped with clear signage. The storage equipment and safety facilities in specialized warehouses for hazardous chemicals should be regularly inspected. (II) Safety management. Warehouses storing hazardous chemicals must be staffed with technically skilled personnel, and these warehouses and premises should have dedicated managers who must be equipped with reliable personal protective equipment. Enterprises must establish strict systems for managing the inbound and outbound of goods, develop emergency response plans specific to their own operations, assign personnel responsible for emergency responses, provide the necessary emergency equipment and tools, and conduct regular drills. (III) Storage requirements. Enterprises should implement isolated storage, separate storage, and distinct storage based on the characteristics of different types of hazardous chemicals. Various types of hazardous materials must not be stored together with incompatible substances, and hazardous chemicals with different fire extinguishing methods cannot be stored in the same warehouse. **Articles of Class 1, highly flammable items, items that catch fire when exposed to moisture, and highly toxic substances must not be stored outdoors. (IV) Special requirements. Highly toxic chemicals, as well as other hazardous chemicals whose storage quantities pose a significant risk, must be stored separately in dedicated warehouses, with a system of two persons responsible for receipt and dispatch, and two persons in charge of storage. The quantities, locations of highly toxic chemicals and other hazardous chemicals that pose a significant risk, as well as information on the personnel in charge of their management, must be reported to the public security authorities and the departments responsible for the comprehensive supervision and management of hazardous chemical safety.
