How does this rusting occur? Is it okay to polish first and then paint?
Can it still be polished after being corroded like this? Sandblasting for rust removal is already very difficult, and it is likely to have a significant impact on strength; it is recommended to replace it with a new one.
Painting is possible, but it is best to carry out anti-corrosion painting during periods of shutdown for maintenance (this is especially important for enterprises that produce hazardous chemicals); painting during normal production is unsafe. Also, be careful not to paint on the threads of the bolts, otherwise they won’t be able to be removed. If possible, apply ScrewLube to the threads to facilitate the replacement and installation of the valve. :lol

This should be merely superficial rusting; as long as it’s not caused by an internal leak, it should be fine. All that’s needed is to remove the rust and repaint the surface. If necessary, the exterior can be protected with a coating
After polishing, observe the corrosion. If it is only surface corrosion, the item can be used again after maintenance; however, if there is deep pitting, crevice corrosion, or microcracks, it should be replaced promptly and cannot be used any longer.
