I would like to ask the experts: There is an existing carbon steel storage tank with a diameter of 5.6 meters and a height of 6 meters; it is equipped with a mixing device, and the medium inside is weakly alkaline. Internal lining: fiberglass lining, 2 layers of 02 fabric and 1 layer of 04 fabric. Question: The storage tank was lined with fiberglass-reinforced plastic twice; after each lining, large areas of the lining would peel off within no more than 3 years of use, although the quality control during the construction process was acceptable. Is the mixing device the main cause of the lining peeling off? What is the best method for preventing corrosion in storage tanks equipped with mixing devices? Thank you!
What kind of base is a weak base? What’s the concentration? What other media are there? At room temperature, is there still a temperature? Can other preservation methods be accepted?
Personally, I think it is the stirring that causes the anti-corrosion layer to peel off
The lining is made of photocurable sheeting, which is easy to install, corrosion-resistant, high-strength, wear-resistant, and resistant to erosion.
It also has a mixing device (aluminum sulfate storage tank), uses a light-curing sheet solution, and the equipment has remained in good condition for several years
The base is NAOH, with a pH of around 10 at room temperature. Other anti-corrosion solutions can be considered as long as they do not lead to increased maintenance costs. Thank you!

With no more than 25% NaOH, and using a polymer ceramic coating, long-term corrosion protection can be achieved; however, the cost may be higher than that of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. Are you over there?
