Metal containers, towers, storage tanks, pipelines, etc. are equipment used in chemical plants to produce, store and transport media products. Generally, chemical plant equipment outer walls and pipelines adopt thermal insulation measures. Ensure production process requirements and reduce heat dissipation (heat absorption) losses. Most of the insulation layer materials are rock wool or ultra-fine glass wool (cold insulation is closed-cell cold insulation material, such as polyurethane foam, etc.), and the outer protective layer is mostly galvanized iron sheet. Due to the long-term influence of the atmosphere, the outer protective layer ruptures, especially metal surfaces such as towers, containers, bottom corners of the outer walls of tanks, and pipes are severely corroded. Judging from the surface corrosion, some corrosion products are about 3-5mm thick, and there are corrosion pockmarks or pitting pits of varying sizes under the rust layer. In some cases, due to poor management, metal perforations are caused by corrosion and accidents occur. Corrosion under the insulation layer is widespread and serious
