The image below shows a storage tank in a chemical plant equipped with insulation; the galvanized iron sheet used for external protection has suffered significant corrosion. Using conventional materials for anti-corrosion treatment requires thorough surface preparation, but the iron sheet can no longer withstand such surface treatments. Using a low-surface-treatment coating can solve this problem, with a dry film thickness of 100 microns. Low-surface-treatment coatings are a special type of coating that can form a strong protective layer on metal surfaces, allowing for effective coating even in cases of severe corrosion and rust on those surfaces. This coating can solve the problem that metal surfaces cannot withstand conventional priming treatments. In the case of chemical plants with insulated storage tanks, since the galvanized iron sheet used for external protection is severely corroded, strict surface preparation is required when using conventional anti-corrosion materials; however, it is no longer possible to treat the surface of the iron sheet. Using a low-surface-treatment coating at this time can solve this problem. During the construction process, the corroded parts of the storage tank are first cleaned and repaired. Then, a low-surface-treatment coating is sprayed onto the surface of the storage tank. Figure 2 shows the construction site, where it can be seen that workers are carrying out spraying work. Figure 3 shows the result after painting. With the use of low-surface-treatment coatings, the protective layer formed on the metal surface can remain in use for over 6 years. The dry film thickness of this coating is 100 microns, which effectively protects the metal surface from corrosion and rust, thereby extending the service life of storage tanks. In summary, low-surface-treatment coatings are special types of coatings that can form a strong protective film on metal surfaces, and they are suitable for situations where conventional surface preparation cannot be carried out on those metals. In practical applications of insulated storage tanks in chemical plants, the use of low-surface-treatment coatings can address the severe corrosion of steel sheets and extend the service life of the tanks. .

What are the main components? Can it resist corrosion? Can it be used when submerged in water?
It mainly depends on the cost difference between this treatment and directly replacing the aluminum protective shell; the difference is likely to be minimal.
