Materials for fluoride-containing wastewater

Can high-molecular-weight polyethylene be used as the material for pumps in fluorine-containing wastewater? The customer specified F46; can high-molecular-weight polyethylene be used instead? Will it suffer from corrosion?
If the wastewater contains strongly oxidizing acids, it is recommended to use F46. Additionally, attention should be paid to the material chosen for the mechanical seal; actually, the price difference isn’t significant.
Temperature, pressure, pollutant concentration?
This post was last edited by Wang Genrong on 2019-5-27 at 07:24. Centrifugal pumps made of polymers or modified polymer materials can be used; nowadays, pump bodies of the sandwich type or those that are cast as a single unit are commonly employed.
If the temperature is not high, F46 material can be used, or PFA material with a higher heat resistance can be employed; (note: F46 is suitable for temperatures up to 120 degrees)； PFA≤180 degrees)
It can be used, but F46 does not have the wear resistance of high-density polyethylene.
