Don’t liquid sulfur dioxide storage tanks need insulation?

Our project leader said it’s not necessary. I don’t quite understand; could you please advise me?
What your project leader said makes sense; unless your company is located in a hot tropical region during the summer and stores large quantities of liquid sulfur dioxide on a continuous basis. Sulfur dioxide has a boiling point similar to that of conventional liquefied petroleum gas, and the liquefaction pressure is not very high (about 4 to 5 atmospheres). It does not burn nor support combustion, but it is highly toxic. Why don’t you check the standard physical and chemical properties of sulfur dioxide? By looking at those properties, you’ll be able to understand the reason.
